I believe this might help people a bit when looking for references on things related to story-writing and creating. Please add sources of your own if you have them. Suggest us good sites where we can find some good material to give writers a little hand. Suggest anything. Writers, communities, websites, books, whatever you think is helpful. Provide us with tutorials and inspiring material if you have them. For Great Justice

...Yet I've been dubbed a failure by the site... I do love that even whilst striking because of the site staff's inability to run a forum I am referenced in a list of good writers. It reminds me why I hate this place only a little less than I love it. |

Heh, be glad that you got a little recognition, Psyches. Thanks Galar, for putting me on that list. It actually means quite a lot to me, sad though that may sound. I'm not going to make it sound like us fanficcers (yeah, made up word, apparently authors are allowed to do that) find it easy to write. It takes us (or at least me) a while and a good deal of effort to make a chapter good, and I'm pleased that we're being recognised for it. But why am I telling you this? You write too, correct? (If not, ignore me. If so, ignore me anyway. I ramble too much. *shot.* ) So thanks again, it's much appreciated (by me, anyway. ) |

I agree with just about everybody on that list. I've never even seen the story of Orange_Flaaffy, but I can't disagree with it, so I trust you on that. Eh, I'm not really surprised that my name isn't there, as I don't find my story to get that much of an honorable mention anyway. I'll finish by saying: Kudos to all the great writers up there on Galar's list. - DNA |

I opened this topic mainly to make it easier for new writers to refer to good fictions on the forum, because some newbies write so bad that we also need to teach them structure and how long a chapter should be. I didn't have the intention to promote writers, seeing as I linked to works of people who haven't been around in a very long time. Yeah, I do write myself, but, so far, only in my native language. And I don't exactly care wether you've been labeled a failure or not, as long as you're a good writer: after all, that's the intention of this topic in the first place. Uh, if I haven't put you on that list it's probably because I wasn't able to read your fiction. I will if/when I have the time, but Crunchy and other staff are more than free to add people to that list if they feel like. Also, if you guys have suggestions of good writers you can certainly post them if you want. |

I also like this list. Even though I'm not on there, it still helps everyone, including myself, learn how to make their plots smoother, their stories longer, and their writing much better. I'm getting really tired of seeing the same story over and over 'pikaku saow uh dawg, and it liekd mudkipz 2! :B!' ^the writer considered that a chapter. I don't like seeing all these double and triple posters saying 'the cat liekz pikaku....CHAPTER2 i liek pikaku? CHAPTER 3 zomg pikakux? xD' ...and sadly, there are too many of those, so thanks, Galar, for this list, it has already helped me. :D |

Psypokes, if it were run properly, should really put together some sort of writing competition. But it isn't run properly so meh. Maybe one day it will be run properly. Pretty sure if the staff of a shop wrote "Fails at life" on me when I contributed to their store and forced me to walk around with everyone reading "Fails at life" branded across my torso I'd sue them, or at least totally b!t(hslap whoever did it... But I guess psypokes thinks it's exempt to good manners and human decency. Probably because it's not run properly. Oh well. Remember, I hate this place only a tiny little bit less than i love it... |

Oh my goodness! My story is up there! I fairly appreciate being recognised as one good writer. It means a lot to me being in that list at least, but aside from sounding too excited, this may also mean that we fanficcers (sticky word ) should improve our skills at developing such good plots. My story up there is the Pokémon one, not my best one, but it´ll surely go to the top someday, but in the mean time, it´s kind of frozen now. |

How do I get on the list? Sorry to ask, but I try to do good stories. I know I have to improve, but how much and in what areas? |

Shiny_Rapidash wrote: How do I get on the list? Sorry to ask, but I try to do good stories. I know I have to improve, but how much and in what areas? By being as good as the people on the list. And to know how much and where you have to improve, check your comments. I know why I'm not on the list; it's that my stories don't get continued, at all. :p |

You have to put a lot of time and effort into your work. Improving doesn't happen over night. It can take years just to improve a tiny bit. If you want to see how much you have to improve (or get an idea) you can check out some of the stories. |

NFIELD?! :o <3 Gracias, amigo, lo haré quando sentirme suficientemente segura (y quando estuvieren completamente listas, hehe). :) Hasta ahora he solamente escrito fanfictions. ;P I'm happy to know this topic was indeed helpful. Don't forget you're more than welcome to suggest writers whose stories you like, I can't see everything. ;) Oh, by the way, if you know a good writer from another Forum or community please provide us a link to their work: I don't think we need to restrict this to Psypokians. |

*ahem* I would like to nominate myself. ;) Actually I think my stories are comparable to some on the list, however, I just need to get over this permanent writer's block. :P |

Well...You first write it (hopefully the first three chapters including a prologue/introduction if it's applicable) then come here and press "New Topic" in the Fan Fiction forum title. Then, it's just like a post. Tabs, extra spaces, and indents don't work so double space between paragraphs. Um...Use BBCode to add effects like underlining, italics and/or bold. Some HTML is accepted but not all. |

A. Welcome to Psypokes B. You post a story by making a new topic in the library, and then putting your first chapter in the first post. C. Next time, ask in the appropriate place (I'm sure there is one...) |

Wow... I'd never have thought that I'd get anywhere near this list. Thanks Galar, it really means a lot to me. Although I haven't updated my stories in a few months that was mainly due to schoolwork and my computer being broken. But being on this list has really motivated me. Expect some more updates soon. |

Ooo, pretty! By the way, I love how you posted an 18+ link on a site filled with mainly younger kids. Oh well, there are a few adults floating around PsyPoke. Nice revamp of this thread as a whole Galar. You're always a busy bee. |
