Dragonite Strength Surf Fire Blast Thunderbolt Your Hypno has 2 status-inducing moves that your other pokemon have, and only one attack move, so I'd suggest taking off at least one of them. Also, since Raichu and Dragonite both have thunderbolt, that's not so bad, but it might be a good idea to give one of them a different move. Other than that, the types of moves are nicely spread, besides Hypno each pokémon has at least 2 types of moves. Raichu wouldn't be able to hit a ground/ghost with that moveset, but since none of those exist in the first gen you don't have anything to worry about. ------------------------- I rated someone's team, so now someone's gotta rate mine. :I

Just threw something together to play with some friends on the ship. I'm on yellow so no item dup glitch and don't have my old gameshark onboard with me, trying to build the team around only one TM per game kind of thing. Really got spoiled with BW TMs now that I've gone back to some of the older games. Already used most of them really, just thought I'd try to make a balanced team around them, granted most the movesets seem pretty standard. Wondered what ya'll might think about it?
Can't decided on 6th yet.
Snorlax: Body Slam Earthquake Hyper Beam Selfdestruct
Alakazam: Psychic Seismic Toss Recover Thunder Wave
Starmie: Psychic Ice Beam Thunderbolt Recover
Dragonite: Hyper Beam Surf Wrap Agility
Dugtrio: Slash Earthquake Rock Slide Double Team
6th:
Dodrio: Drill Peck Body Slam Hyper Beam Agility or Reflect
Or
Cloyster: Clamp Blizzard Rest Explosion

What do I use... Well, when I finished Red, this was my team: - Level 55 - Used against Grass, Ice, and Bug types - Level 53 - Used against Poison and Psychic types - Level 53 - Used against Water and Flying types - Level 54 - Used against Fire, Electric, and Rock types - Level 56 - Used against Fighting and Ghost - Level 53 - Used against Ground and Dragon I believe they were effective against every type of Pokémon I could have encountered. Of course, I had to know what type the Pokémon was, though. Which I sometimes did not.

I'm about to start Blue, and I'm wanting to make an all fire-type team. These are the attacks I'm planning on giving them. -Flamethrower -Seismic Toss -Dragon Rage -Earthquake -Dig -Fire Blast -Toxic -Hyper Beam -Horn Drill -Stomp -Fire Spin -Swift -Confuse Ray -Fire Punch -Psychic -Strength -Double-Edge -Thunder Wave -Quick Attack -Flamethrower -Fly -Sky Attack -Razor Wind -Fire Spin I'm only using Fly on Moltres for transportation purposes, probably not going to use it as an attack. Got Sky Attack for that. So, any suggestions or alterations?

Can anyone one help me out
Me and my friend are thinking of beating the elite four as fast as we can. Problem is I can only do it with bug types ice types or a mixture of both
I plan on using
Scyther , Lapras, beedrill, dewgong, venomoth and jynx but can't think of any move sets for them to cover all the different types

hows this instead
1. Articuno with Fly or Peck and Ice beam
with this you will be able to take out 13 of the 26 pokemon in the Elite Four all of Brunos Pokemon Agatha's Golbat Lances 2 Dragonairs Dragonite and Aerodactyl your Rivals Pidgeot, Rhydon, Exeggutor/Venusaur
2. Venomoth with Psychic, Leech Life and Mega Drain
with this you can take out 17 of the 26 pokemon in the Elite Four all of Lorelli's Pokemon, Leech Life for Jynx, the rest with Mega Drain Brunos Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Machamp all of Agatha's Pokemon Lances Gyarados your Rivals Gyarados/Blastoise, Venusaur if your Rival has it, Rhydon and Alakazam
3. Dewgong with Surf and an Ice Move
this will take care of your rivals Fire Pokemon also useful as a backup to Articuno with the Ice move.
4. Beedrill with Twineedle and Mega Drain
you can use Venomoths Leech life for Jynx, and Alakazam...but why not use the stronger bug move in Twineedle back up Venomoth with Mega Drain for all the Water Pokemon (Gyarados/Blastoise and 4 of Lorelli's Pokemon)
that should do it

Okay, after a little hiatus I am revisiting Blue, and have assembled a whole new team! Sort of. I wanted a full fire team, but since I can't have one in any of the other games besides Black, I figured I'd use fire when I could, but otherwise use whatever would be best. So, here they are! - Dracau ♂ -Flamethrower -Dragon Rage -Strength -Earthquake - Bella ♀ -Vine Whip (leveled up too soon, didn't get Razor Leaf) -Sleep Powder -Cut (purely for out-of-battle use) -Solarbeam - Piko ♂ -Slash -Earthquake -Rock Slide -Fissure - Renée ♀ -Confuse Ray -Flamethrower -Dig -Rest - Roli ♂ -Quick Attack -Bite -Flamethrower -Fire Blast - Colvert ♂ -Fire Punch -Flamethrower -Hyper Beam -Psychic I actually went through and found out when I can get these guys and their attacks, so I wouldn't give one of them an attack after it was needed, unlike what happened the last few times I did this. However, I have not actually tested this out (yet), so if anyone has advice, I would be open to it. EDIT: Just beat the Elite 4 with this team. It worked very well. They were all level 62 at the start, but Colvert leveled up to 63. I OHK'dO almost everyone. Lance's Dragonair took more than an Earthquake, but fell right after to Strength from Dracau. Other than that, all were OHKO's.

It looks good to me, not that I know the Gen I VGC too well. It looks very well balanced! If Missingno really is removed though, will you still go for Earthquake on both Tauros and Rhydon?

They can't remove Missigno!? It's like the early game's trademark. o_O They'll probably fix the duplication glitch tho, as it's widely known. Other than that I think we might keep the lvl.100 Nidoking one, unless they built RBY from scratch again, which would be sad.
I'm picking Farfetch'd for sure tho.

Missingno is a historical figure within the franchise, sure, but it was also an unintended byproduct, and something that was honestly pretty game breaking. It was far from something that Game Freak would have wanted to be present in their flagship games, I'm sure. So while I doubt that they've rebuilt the games from scratch, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if they've patched most, if not all, of the glitches that the fanbase has been kind enough to find for them over the past twenty years. After all, if I'm remembering correctly, then while Missingno was present in Yellow, it was more difficult to access, and it didn't work quite the same way. This tells me that they were aware of it at the time, and had still tried to patch it even then.
