TEH LIST OF D33M
A basic list of Metagame terms used, for people who don't understand what they mean. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SkarmBliss: The excessive use of these defensive pokemon. Boah: The Tyranitar set which uses the moves Thunderbolt, Crunch, Substitute and Focus Punch with a specific EV spread and a Quiet Nature. This set can also be carried out on a Dragonite. 00ber: German for very/over, or in Metagame terms, extremely hard to beat pokemon. This pokemon are, in theory, most Legendaries and Wobaffet. Parasupport: Support from Paralysation, most commonly used along with Azumarril. OU: OverUsed pokemon. Self-Explanatory. UU: UnderUsed pokemon. Also Self-Explanatory. Sub-Revers: Pokemon who use Substitute over and over until their HP gets low, and then folllowed up with Reversal. Salac Berry is commonly used with these pokemon. CalmCune: A Suicune with Calm Mind. One of the most deadly combinations there are. CurseLax: A Snorlax with Curse. Almost like the Physical version of Suicune. Another deadly combo. CBer: A Choice Bander. A pokemon with Choice band. Common examples are Swellow and Dodrio. ChoiceAero: An Aerodactyl with a Choice band. The most deadly Choice Bander. CursePert: A less common used version of Snorlax. Uses Curse. more used in UU play. PsychIce: A Regice with Psyche Up. The best CalmCune counter. PhysWall: A pokemon that can take Physical Attacks like they're nothing. The most favoured ones are Weezing and Skarmory. SpecWall: A pokemon that can take Special Attacks like they're nothing. The most favoured ones are Blissey and Regice. SeedStallers: Pokemon That use Leech Seed and then Stall(hold up) as long as possible for maximum draining. These pokemon use Leftovers for extra support. The most favoured ones are Jumpluff and Sceptile. BL: (Credit to Tobey for telling me this) BorderLine pokemon. SubPunchers: A combo of Substitute and Focus Punch. BoltBeam: Thunderbolt and Ice Beam. SubPetaya/Liechi: Using Substitute enough until Petaya/Liechi berry is activated. Deadly with a quick pokemon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please tell me if I missed any pokemon! |

i believe Boah fairly commonly has crunch in place of icebeam... dont think i often hear it refered to as choiceaero, especially now that aerodactyl is less common, are more common saying is probably "choicebat", most others are just refered to as CB tauros or CB aero... sorry to break it to you, but swampert is not UU or even BL by any stretch of the imagination.... dont think ive ever heard anyone call it a physwall or a specwall, i have heard "P-wall" and "S(p)-wall" though... |

um wow. That list stinks. Check your facts better, first of all. Boah usually has Crunch instead of Ice Beam or thunderbolt. 00ber/uber actually means over in german lol. Parasupport is NOT most commonly used with Azumarill. It's used with and slow pokemon with good attack, and what it is is paralyzing other pokes to make the slow attacker able to outrun them and own them. I've never heard of ChoiceAero or PsychIce referred to as such. SWAMPERT. IS NOT. UU. IT IS AS OU AS THEY COME. You forgot BL, SubPetaya, Sweeper, Tank, Staller, Chaosbreon, and many others. Edit: Oh, and if you're going to use leetspeak, use it right. 3 is used for e. 0 is used for o. |

also, "boah" does not solely refer to tyranitar... that would be "tyraniboah" ... there is also "boahnite" |

*barges in* Off-day everyone. Little time. Too much to write. good idea, not properly carried out. Sorry for the errors. Ze Tanks and Ze Stallers are types of pokemon. Simillar to Annoyer and Sweeper. Zose are not used in Metagame terms. Anyone with zat Fleshy bit between your Ears will know what a Sweeper and Tank is. When i meant Swampert is less commonly used I meant not as much as Snorlax. |

TP is just recently being used, Nyuura, so you cant really expect him to post that. PSychIce is not really THE best calmcune counter btw. There really is no best counter. But if there was I'd have my money on Tauntridos. |

Why doesn't anyone else besides tobey get credit for telling you things  Let someone older and with more experience write this next time... |

You forgot parattractafusion. You get a pokemon with Thunder Wave, Confuse Ray, Attract, and a flincher move, like Bite. There is a very unlikely chance that a paf'ed pokemon will be able to get a single hit out before fainting. |

Yeah, everyone learned in stadium 2 that those never seem to work. Could someone give an example of a BL? |

Could someone give an example of a BL? Steelix is a BL. So are Espeon and Jumpluff(although I don't get why). They are barely strong enough for some OU action however they are too powerful for UU. Thus BL. |

BL means pokemon that are on the Verge or are close to being OU but at the same time remain UU(this is my Def or another one of BL). Occasionally some of these pokemon become OU. Also theres NU-UU BL Which is basically the same thing just with UU's and never used pokemon IE UE pokemon(Unevolved such as pikachu, trapinch, diggy, and scyther (LB wise) |
