Get your ELA facts straight. A limerick is an Irish poem that originated from the town of Limerick that contains five lines and a rhyme scheme of AABBA. Lines 3 and 4 are shorter and contain a different meter than Lines 1, 2, and 5. A couplet is a poem that is very common, typically with an AABB rhyme scheme. Youre thinking of a couplet. Not a limerick. Also, use spaces after commas and periods, and any other punctutation points. Thank you! |
