Post subject:  Anyone else find Psypokes a bit... strict?

I'm new to the Psypokes forum and so far I must say from my observations it's a bit well... strict. For example this topic "The Simpsons" (which can be found in the TV/Movies/Books Discussion):

Poll :: ISNT THE SIPSONS GREAT

yes
100% [ 1 ]
no
0% [ 0 ]

Total Votes : 1

Since TK's not here right now to say it himself, POLLS WITH ONLY YES/NO ARE STUPID. Also, CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL, RIGHT? Finally, if you want to have a discussion on a topic, please do, but don't make posts that are nothing more than "here's an opinion with no support whatsoever, is your opinion the same as mine or not?"

All Jason S was doing was trying to start a conversation about the Simpson's is that really so bad?

Another example, like I said before I'm new here. I'm not new to forum's in general though and I'm a regular at http://www.easyfreeforum.com/sith and http://www.ashlaknights.net. Now on those sites there is no rule about "Necromancy" now for those of you who don't know (however they're so strict about it you probably know) the rule is:

Don't bring back old stuff (Necromancy)
Threads that haven't been posted in weeks or months shouldn't be posted in, there is a reason why people haven't posted in a while.

Now I didn't know this when I first came here so I did post in a few topics. Personally I don't understand what is so bad about posting in an old topic in an attempt to revive it. However in response to those topics I had posted in I got

I've read Darth Bane: Paths of Destruction. That was a very good book. I highly recomend it if you are interested in the backstory of the sith.

nicmancy alert, don't post in topics that haven't been replied in since 2005.
Somebody please say the magique word locked.

I would like to point out why is he making fun of me, when he can't even spell magic? Ok Blazikendude its M-A-G-I-C a 5 year old can spell that, and necromancy is spelled N-E-C-R-O-M-A-N-CY again anyone can spell that. Also for those of you who would consider what I just said "flaming" just look below at some of the stuff he said to me and what I said will seem mild.

I have heard about some new Star Wars films including:

Vader's Clone (From his dead body in VI)
Luke's Evil Clone (Cloned from his chopped off arm in VI)
(Work together with Vader's Clone)

Black Lightsabers which drain other saber's power ( )

Darth Maul returns from being banished

Qui Gon Jinn returns from death (and cremation )

Yoda is Luke's guide to defeating his clone

What do you all reckon? Cool or Stool? Amazing or a load of balony?

Where did you hear Vader had a clone? I've never come across that in anything and I practically study Star Wars.
Luke's clone was called Luuke.
I've never came across black lightsabers either.
Darth Maul was also re-incarnated many a time.
Qui-Gon did study the Whills so I wouldn't doubt that one.

George Lucas has said he isn't going to make any more movies. That would be awesome if he did though.

Once again, stop doing nicromancy, no posting in dead topics. Somebody lock this. *Goes to Aly Pricless's next nicromancy topic*

George Lucas has stated that he does not plan on making anymore Star Wars movies . However I am a major Star Wars fan and know alot about the Expanded Universe.

Han and Leia end up getting married but Han had to kidnap Leia first because she almost married some prince (I can't think of what planet he was from off hand) for political reasons. They ended up having 3 kids the first were twins named Jacen and Jaina (after Han's mother). In Jacen's 30's he ends up turning to the dark side because he believes it will keep the galaxy from falling apart (there was alot of turmoil that is referred to as the Thrawn Crisis). Han and Leia's other child was Anakin Solo. Leia named him Anakin in an attempt to "re-deem" the name. Many people don't know this but Palpatine did not die in episode VI, he survived and tried to take over Anakin's body before he was even born. Leia was a Jedi at that point though and was able to use some Force power to stop him. However Anakin ended up dying in a battle in his 20's. Luke ended up starting his own Jedi academy on Yavin IV. He also married Mara Jade and had one son who he named Ben after Old Ben Kenobi.

If you have any questions about what happend before, in between or after the movies just ask.
Ugh, not fun telling mods to lock three star wars topics. FOR THE THIRD TIME, DON'T POST IN DEAD TOPICS!!!
NOTE: If you look at me asking mods to lock these star wars topics, I called you "Spamy" Pricless, consider it your official nickname I made.

My name is Aly Pricele$$ and I don't take well to having my name made fun of. Blazikendude? More like Torchicdude. As you can see I am clearly p!$$ed about Torchicdude's unnesecary comments. He could have just asked a moderator to lock them but no he had to throw completley unnessecary comments in also. Well this is all I can think of at the moment however later (if my free speach isn't locked or deleted) I might edit this and add more. In conclusion am I the only person who finds Psypokes a bit strict and unreasonable?

This is exactly why that the admins/mods are strict. There is sooo much whining and complaining going on in the forums lately, and frankly it makes me mad. Okay, the first example. 1.) He posted in all caps, which is, quite frankly, very annoying. 2.) What is the point of the poll. Yes and/or no polls are sooo lame. At least add some other words. Another things is if someone makes fun of your name. Get over it. You've only been here what ... *takes a guess*. Well, get over it. Please. Such a drama llama. And another thing: you're spamming by making two topics.

I'm not complaining. I'm stating my opinion. I just think that the mods need to loosin up.

This is their board. They are welcome to do what they wish. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to stay.

I don't see a problem with the topic Jigglypuff locked. However, in your case, I have to say: Necromancy is okay when you are adding something useful to the dead discussion of the topic. When another member makes a stupid post like "LOL UR NECROMANCING HAY MODS LOCK THIS", then you should PM a moderator. Blazikendude has no right to boss you around. Could you please link to the thread you're talking about?

I wish I wasn't in a bad mood that.
I never really knew when Necromancy was considered necromancy with that "It is not necromancy if it contibutes to the topic" rule. Plus my bad mood a ton of homework, drove me to the nickname which I regret. I'm sorry for that, I just didn't get that necromancy exception thing. *Prays that he won't get probation*

Bad mood or not, that's not an excuse to do something like that. When I'm in a bad mood, you don't see me banning members or placing them on probation solely because I'm in a bad mood.

And no, I'm not gong to place you on probation, since you got the message and probably won't do it again.

Necromancy was never a strict rule, and only staff members have the right to decide if a post qualifies as necromancy, and henceforth make the relevant action (locking, leaving the topic open, etc).

And Jason S's attempt to start a conversation about the Simpson's isn't bad, it's just that with posts like that, a discussion about the Simpsons will never get going. We need at least some content in each post so discussions can go on.

In short, we might be a little on the strict side sometimes, but I don't think we've ever been unreasonable. If you find certain decisions or rules puzzling, you can always feel free to voice out your views to any staff member.

Blazikendude I accept your apology. Like, I'm not complaining about this site, I want to make that clear, because this site is very helpful. I just thought that it was a little strict. Thank you though to those of you who understand that.
