I was just wondering, after seeing Krisp, nfield and RaichuLatias's ranks, if the administrators have ever thought of setting up gyms on the site.(Battles done through wi-fi)
It would be like this:
Someone is assigned as the "gym leader"(a different name would be better maybe gym runner) and then people PM you to have a battle. There is a gyn for every Pokemon type and the "gym leaders" have to have a list of Pokemon of the type of their gym(They can have two types and the challenger picks what Pokemon the "gym leader" uses) and then the challenger picks the battle format(single, double etc.).
If you win you get a special ribbon on your trainer card or maybe a badge and if you beat all of them you get some psybucks :).
Just a thought.
(The "gym leaders" would not have to show the attacks of their Pokemon)

Your idea sucks.
1. Already done, back in '01, and that didn't do well at all.
2. It would be a huge pain in the ass to manage, the staff have lives y'know.
3. I don't understand how you consider battling a team that's all the same type as "fun", especially for the mods.

I don't need to come up with more reasons.
