I've tried this in both Chrome and Firefox browsers. Right click doesn't work for any link in the main site, though it works in the forums. Since I'm currently using a mouse without a scroll wheel to middle click with, this makes it very difficult to open new tabs here. |

Right click is intentionally disabled on the main site. Of course you can open new tabs with ctrl+T, but I assume you mean duplicating the current tab. To do this you can ctrl+left click the reload button in the tool bar (in Firefox. Maybe this works in Chrome too). In IE, ctrl+K duplicates the current tab. |

I hadn't been aware of those shortcuts. Ctrl + left-clicking on the link does exactly what I wanted. Thank you. |

If you're using a tablet (or you don't have a keyboard) and would rather that everything be possible by clicking, then you can disable the disable by turning off javascript temporarily. Some browsers (at least Opera) also include a feature to specifically counter right-click disabling. The main site doesn't really use javascript all that much. If right-click disabling is really important to you guys for some reason and you censor me, I understand. Well, sort of, anyway. Here's a link, for your reading pleasure In particular: "it has generally fallen out of favor due to being a combination of ineffective and annoying." It won't stop anyone, and only irritates normal users. Okay, I'll be going now. |
