What are the odds of there being a Pokemon Electric Yellow?
1:4, 1:3, 1:2, or 1:1!
It seems very likely that Nintendo will do a remake of the sequal to the original pokemon games. After all I was right about Pokemon Emerald back in the old psypoke (psypoke.org)
But what will we expect from it?
That annoying that follows you around and you can't evolve.
The ability to get all the original starters throughout the game. {bulbasaur}{charmander}
Add on that were not in the prequels (battle tower in Crystal, wireless adaptor in Emerald)
It will likely be much like Pokemon Yellow though with all the changes from Pokemon Red and Blue to FR/LG and more from Yellow to EY, who knows!
It will likely be announced one to two years from now (that was the gap when most of the R/B to Y, etc. were).
One things for sure there will be ONE!

Heh, i have thought about this but I imagined they would call in "Thunder Yellow". FR/LG were very random, after Nintendo had promoted Gonbe and the "new generation" so I don't know which would come first...if LG/FR sell well they may just go for it to make more money. It wouldn't be too hard considering LG/FR are basically identical to Red/Green...they could just copy the coding again for yellow.

Yeah, I think they'll make it too. One thing I would like if they do it is that I would be able to get the three dogs without reseting any version since I can only trade with my brother...

They might call it Thunder Yellow, I didn't think of that... anyway that is a good point about the ledgendary dogs (or beasts as Nido likes to call them, but I think they are dogs) maybe u can catch them all...[/quote]

I hope they don't make it. There would be hardly enough differences from any Yellow upgrade and the Red/Blue upgrades. There's just no need for it, and Nintendo needs to stop trying to leech money with six zillion remakes. This year alone we've gone Fire Red, Leaf Green AND Emerald.

Most of the changes from RB to Yellow have been included in FR/LG (new movesets, Pokemon appear in different locations, etc.). If they do make a Thunder Yellow, it should have more differences than Yellow had.

My thought on this are that they will come out with a Yellow remake eventually, but not before the fourth generation. I hope they don't ever come out with it, as 3 new games and a new generation is quite enough IMO.

It fooled me until I saw what you wrote ... but it might be able to pass as an actual title screen if the "PUSH START BUTTON" was in Japanese

Pretty good fake nontheless...o_O
But anyway...Special Pikachu Edition was good back then because of the significantly better graphics and color(in battle, that is). Only annoying part is that Pikachu can't evolve into Raichu, making it hard to train after a distant part in the game(By the Elite Four, it was practically useless, except maybe against the Gyarados).
Plus, this was back when the Pokemon Show was in its first/pre-second season....so maybe the storyline is outdated by now for a remake of Yellow to be made...

It just seems likely that there will be one, but I do agree that it should be release after the 4th Generation, people are likely to get sick of the they whole original Kanto story line.

It's probably a way to make pokemon more popular. It's popularity has fallen since its very first releasy back in last millenium .

Ruby/Sapphire was probably part of the cause of the downfall, as IMO, it was the worst generation of the three. Innovative new features, yes, but it lacked the pizzaz that Crystal brought to the game.

You are probably right though its hard to tell. It was accually pokemon R/S that put me back interested in pokemon. A lot of people say it was the Anime or the Trading card game, though I doubt it. Though pokemon is still pretty popular.

Its possible though it could also be Water Blue, though Leaf Green is the equivilent of the original Pokemon Blue.

I'm pretty sure they wont make a Water Blue. We got Blue and Japan got Green, Nintendo when making LG/FR decided not to change it all to blue but instead keep it Green when transferring it to English.

So... you think it's okay to re-make Red and Blue, but to re-make Yellow wouldn't be good? I just fail to see your point, here...

This person is under the thinking that Yellow is a "special" version, therefore it would somehow degrade it to re-make it.

Why would they created another video game for the continuation of this current set? Put you mind set on this: All the pokemon thus far are able to be captured by playing RS and FR&LG, so besides the point of the people who waste their money, Nintendo would be losing more than gaining it. They would have to add some major improvements to this "Thunder Yellow" in order for it to make money. Then again, as I already said, people waste their money because it is labeled with some popular name.

You are right though why are they making an Emerald? You don't need it to get all the pokemon.
