1: EVs. I know what they are and I'm pretty sure I can figure out EV training. But I'd like a way to find out the EVs my pokemon have, is there an EV calculator anywhere? Google was no help.

2: Say on a battle, you pick the Level 100 option. If there are pokemon below level 100, do their stats change at all?

3: Do nicknames show up on wifi battles?

psypoke has a stat calc that can be of help for finding your own pokes EVs, but you need to know the IVs first or it won't be much help.

Yes, nicknames show up in any and all wifi battles aside from the 3vs3 on PBR. (and even that I seen nicknames once in a rare while.)

I'm actually kind of appalled that a lot of people don't name their pokes. That's like having a dog and calling it "Dog". I name every pokemon I get. Even legendaries. I'll literally sit there for around 10 minutes with the volume off(the "you just caught a pokemon" jingle gets repetitive and annoying)trying to think up a good name. I know I'm different. But it's a GOOD kind of different, lol.

I kinda do the same. Every poke I breed for battling I nickname after a food or utensil, Pinot Noir, Basil, Walnut, Pummelo, etc.

In stat calculations there are several variables: base stat, nature, EVs, and IVs. As only the final displayed stat, the base stat, and nature appear in the profile, there are 2 unknown variables: EVs and IVs. Usually EVs are kept track of to try to find IVs. However...you could remove all EVs with berries to find the pokemon's final stats and therefore the IVs. Then, reset the game, and use the IVs to find the EVs.

I dont have much of a naming system myself. Here are some of the names I came up with and their origins.

Blister the ariados: What do you get when a spider bites you? A blister.
Inferno the charizard: Type related.
Rainflip the empoleon: Type related + penguins have flippers, so "flip"
Racket the primeape: Monkeys make a lot of noise/racket.
Winks the hypno: Play on "40 winks" or something like that, which describes sleep.
Wildflame the infernape: Type related + apes/monkeys are wild.
Nova the staraptor: Nova is another word for star.
Techno the manectric: Type related...to a certain extent.
Meadow the leafeon: Type related.
Snowstep the glaceon: Type related.
Nimbus the gyarados: Type related, it means "rain cloud"
Raiden the ninjask: Ninja sounding name for a ninja bug.

And legendaries, now that you have examples of how I name.

Rex and Raptor the groudons(I traded one into collosseum and started a new game)
Coldtalon the articuno

Those are actually some cool nicknames, kid. I never give my Pokes names because I'm lazy, but I do like those. You should swing by the Name Raters Thread here, as I feel your talents would be appreciated by people there if you haven't already made yourself known. I think it's in the Pokemon Center Forum. Keep up the good work, though.

My brother gives his pokemon random nicknames; he named his Psyduck "Noipju" and named a Cherubi he caught "Cereal"
