STEP ONE: Nominate your FOUR FAVOURITE BANDS
STEP TWO: Vote for your favourite as bands go head to head tournament style
STEP THREE: The winner is the last band remaining!

Goldenrod used to be my favourite forum, so I've decided to try to get it active again. I was reading through my old logs and there was an idea tossed around which I think would be really great - a tournament style battle of the bands. The idea is that 128 (or 64, 256, whatever) bands would compete mano a mano with one another knockout style until one remained.

I'm thinking for nomination stages you list your FOUR favourite bands (which would all be placed in different quarters of the draw). Once I've gotten a suitable number of bands I'll draw up a bracket and then we play knockout. (Probably run 5 matchups at once, 3 day duration)

It's a good way to widen your music taste because it'll be in BAND (youtube link) VS BAND (youtube link). So yes provided there's enough interest it could even be fun :O. And there might even be a banter thread.

What do you guys think? If response is positive I'll open up nominations. Oh and I can't for the life of me think of a good competition name. Suggestions will be rewarded with cookies.

I just hope some people stumble upon this.

PS: There was a really good thread by tessa back in the old A&C forum but I can't seem to find it (same thing but with Pokemon. In case anyone wanted to look at it for reference)

I'm not starting this until we get at least 60 more nominations (15 people) because I'm not setting it up if only 4 people are going to vote each round. I think 15 is an OK number because there's about that many people playing per werewolf game, so I don't think it should be too hard to get. So yeah hopefully a few people can stumble upon this.
