Hey there I am rather new to this forum and honestly I don't know much about any pokemon cards rare or not. I found some cards in an old box in my parents home and was mostly wondering if this card was worth anything. The only picture I found of it was online here http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/ ... ding_S1%29 says what it is but not sure if its worth anything. I also have a huge stack of older I think gen1 cards some hollow some not. If anyone could help me out that would be rad!

If it's indeed part of the Vending Series, it can be potentially worth quite a lot, if it's still in good condition. The most valuable cards nowadays tend to be from the Wizards era, especially cards that weren't released in English. The price of a single Vending Series card wouldn't be super-high, but it'd be fairly substantial, I believe.

All I have to add is that there is also a non-holographic version of this card and that apparently it is more rare/valuable.
I found one person selling both versions on ebay at the moment. He is asking $30 for the holographic card and $60 for the non-holographic card. I doubt they are worth that much.

Perfect state, nice.
The non-holographic one is indeed more valuable. (Most of the old cards seems more valuable when non-holo...) I'd say keep it for now, in 10 or 20 years maybe it will be worth something.

Are those current on-going auctions, or ones that have already ended? On-going ones aren't always the best gauge of price. It is possible the non-holo one is more valuable, though I doubt the prices are that inflated.

Japanese cards can be worth more in the USA than Japan, so you might have a good card. Lucky you, I don't even have one Japanese card...

Judging by its condition and that it is in Japanese I would have to say that it could go for about 45-60 bucks. If you hold on to it for another 10 years or so it could go up in value by about 15. So if you sell now you get 45- 60 bucks but if you wait 10 years you're looking at maybe 70 dollars.
