Congratulations! It's certainly an upgrade from Gen V, isn't it? I went back to White 2 for a week to do some breeding, and I was shocked and the drop in quality. You might want to look at the Friend Safari thread if you want to start breeding, and at least try to get Animaniac to trade codes with you, as he has a Ditto friend zone, and having a collection of 2 IV dittos really helps with the breeding process.

You need the internet for the DS to recognize that they've added your code, and, in turn, to gain access to the first two pokemon. Then you need to be on at the same time as them in-game and they need to have beaten the Elite Four before you can gain access to their third pokemon and the hidden abilities of all of them.

Ditto is one of these 'third slot' pokemon, so what I did, and still prefer to do, honestly, is I caught several safari exclusive pokemon, and then put them on the GTS asking for a ditto within the range of 21-30. Braixen and Frogadier were particularly popular for this. I did this to get each IV combination, and over half of them are foreign. If you get a matching set, you can put one up for trade again, and it goes fairly quickly. You can check the IVs of a pokemon with the purple haired guy in the Kiloude City Pokemon Center. Between these combinations and a Destiny Knot, getting a 5 IV baby is pretty easy.

1. Braixen (Starter Pokemon)
2. Swanna (JPN from Wonder Trade)
3. Sylveon (HA from Wonder Trade)
4. Meowstic (♀) (Only Pokemon purely my own)
5. Tyrantrum (Breed from a Tyrunt I got from Wonder Trade)
6. Sawsbuck (Autumn) (Is the HA one given by Weather Institute personnel in W2)

Had a Pangoro but got bored of it's movepool so switched it with Sawsbuck as I needed another Physical attacker & now use Pangoro as a HM Specialist. Tyrantrum was going to be Aurorus but the breeding for a better nature & Aurorus on previous file being a bad experience due to also movepool, I decided after a while to go the other route & am loving it except it not being HA. Braixen will not be evolved into Delphox until the next fight I get into after the one against the Champion. Swanna is the only thing allowing me to use a party member in a Sky Battle. Sylveon is amazing but the HA on it is kind of quite useless compared to what I thought it would be, it was good with Swift but after that lost it's luster. Meowstic is my favorite member of the team both in battle & outside of battle, definitely a Pokemon I would want irl. Tyrantrum I wish was HA due to Head Smash but other then that it is amazing. Sawsbuck came after going through alot of decision making on a 6th member with most of the other options not working due to being Special Attackers or Pure Support Pokemon which I don't like & may be replaced with Gourgeist if I can find a Super Size Pumpkaboo, or not...

I will be playing through kalos again in 2017. My team will probably be:

Delphox (shiny), Blastoise, dragonite, umbreon, florges and agislash (if i spell that right) this team may change though
